Awkward fit

I’m 5’7 and for some reason these fit more like mid-rise than high-rise on me. When I pull the waist up to go over my belly button, it creates a really obvious camel toe. Even without pulling the waist up, it feels like a have a wedgie along my entire underside. I love the material and design, so it was disappointing how the fit was awkward.
